Applications of atomic absorption spectroscopy are given below:
Clinical Analysis
This technique is widely used in the clinical analysis of
various metals, although this technique is capable of analyzing many elements
(both metals and non-metals), including trace elements that can be transformed
into atomic form after vaporization. E.g. analysis of toxic material and metal
in blood.
Environmental Analysis
Analysis of heavy metal and toxic material such as
Lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury in abiotic components (air, water).
Pharmaceutical analysis
In pharmaceutical industries, cadmium is used as a catalyst. By atomic absorption spectroscopy we can easily attain its spectra. IV solutions are also analyzed by this technique.Industrial Analysis
